Twitter’s Dorsey downplays merger possibilities, sees ‘strength to the independence’

“There’s a lot of strength to a independence,” he said, during a Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference in San Francisco on Tuesday. Dorsey believes that it’s critical for Twitter’s business that they’re “not constrained.”

He also uttered joining to building a “sustainable” business and providing “return to a shareholders.” He combined that Twitter has “a lot left to infer though we’re proof it small by small each day.”

Twitter’s batch is down from a high of $69 in early 2014, though a association has had an considerable run in a past year, with shares going from $16.52 to $33.44 in a past 12 months.

He believes that video will continue to be a large income driver. “Video is a fastest flourishing in terms of monetization,” pronounced Dorsey. He pronounced that Twitter will be investing in “self-serve technologies” to make it easier for producers to use a service.

Dorsey also hopes to enhance on a “moments” section, that allows users to see a collection of tweets around a sold topic. “There’s a lot of value in a what happened in a summation inlet of a service,” he said, adding that “we’ve hardly scratched a aspect of it with a product like ‘moments.’ ”

He also spoke of regulating appurtenance training and low training to tailor a use to individual’s preferences. “We are unwell currently since we don’t have a lot of a personalizations we need,” he said. “If they have to hunt navigation to find it, we have failed.”
