A new app for Microsoft’s practical partner Cortana, named Device Setup, has been launched in a Google Play store.
In a app, unearthed by The Tech Portal, you’re talked by a set-up of your Cortana-powered home device – that is interesting, since there isn’t a Cortana home orator on a marketplace during a moment.
We’re all apropos informed with a thought of far-field home speakers, and with Amazon Echo and Google Home already determined in many homes it was usually a matter of time before Microsoft entered a margin of play.
At benefaction Cortana can be used to control Windows phones and computers around voice commands, and now it looks like she’ll be invading a kitchens and vital bedrooms too.
Right now, however, all we have in terms of news of a home orator from Microsoft is this flattering though deceptive teaser video, in partnership with Harman Kardon.
Rumors have been present for a while about a Microsoft hardware launch in open 2017, and with a recent report suggesting a Surface Book 2 wouldn’t be launched during this eventuality we’ve been wondering if a Cortana orator was going to be launched instead – and a launch of this new app creates that some-more likely.
